Vice President & Director, Communications

The vice-president of an organisation works closely with the board of directors and other top executives to define the mission of the organisation. These policy procedures are developed, planned and enforced to achieve its goals.  The Vice President fulfills the role of President in their absence and can also be a prominent face of the organisation.

Director of Communications will set and guide the strategy for all communications, website, and public relations messages and collateral to consistently articulate the associations mission, vision and pillars.  The Director of Communications will work closely with the board and committees within the organisation as the communications partner on a variety of strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include: Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual communications plan across the network’s discreet audiences.  Lead the generation of online content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable action. Decide who, where, and when to disseminate. Put communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities. Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, and the BCPA website. Mentor and lead a team members responsible for website administration and coordination. Facilitate and ensure optimal internal communication channels and notifications to all executive and members.
