Director, Education

The Director of Education is responsible for oversight and direction of the education programs of the BCPA.  Working with the committee members, develop the two streams of educational development for members of the profession.

Tertiary Education is working with the colleges and universities, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and employers and health care community, and paramedics  to understand the academic requirements for optimal paramedic patient care and safety and to develop programs to meet the future needs of all stakeholders.  A distinct requirement of this stream is to ensure development of post graduate programs to build the research agenda of the BCPA and doctorate level professors to become future paramedic faculty and research advisors.

The Continuing Professional Development stream encompasses the same professional understanding and translation of knowledge to contemporary education programs to ensure that clinicians are current and up-to-date with current evidence based medical practice and specifically on the basis of paramedic led research.
