Paramedicine often focuses on professionalism as a competency; something which can be taught, developed, measured and assessed. Professionalism may be further developed through initiatives aimed at providing supportive environments in which professionals feel valued and recognized alongside other health professionals.

The Honourable Patty Hajdu has extended a formal invitation to the paramedic profession, along with other essential frontline healthcare workers, to attend a townhall information session on December 16, 2020 and December 17, 2020. This serves as direct recognition of Paramedics within the greater realm of frontline healthcare.
