Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): The Somali Music Project Research Assistant will accompany the PI (Professor Kheshgi) on research site visits and participate in debriefing sessions in order to process and document observations.

Transferable Skills: Arts research observation skills, ethnographic documentation skills, verbal and written communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities: Accompany the PI (Professor Kheshgi) on research site visits, to be arranged with the research assistant. Participate in debriefing sessions with the PI. Process verbally and document observations in written form.

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) : Weekend availability in summer 2024 and during fall 2024. Experience with ethnographic observation and documentation in an arts context.
