Job Description
Description The Sheet Metal Fabricator has the capability to join and fabricate metal material by applying appropriate sheet metal techniques and functions. In addition, this position requires the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to determine appropriate fabrication process. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under moderate supervision.
Hours will be Monday - Thursday, 3pm to 1am.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

- Receive prints from Machine Shop Supervisor or Field Service Advisors and sketches from Assembly.
- Fabricate parts using the most efficient method, taking care to finish the part accurately and aesthetically pleasing.
- Meet or exceed DMC sheet metal fabrication standards.
- Determine which fabrication process should be used in a given situation.
- Use a variety of tools and machines.
- Must be able to set up, layout materials, operate press brakes, laser, fladder, punch presses and shear.
- Maintain work area in accordance to 5S standards.
- Ability to edit and modify programs.
- Perform all necessary maintenance and repairs to machines in the sheet metal area.
- Must demonstrate a willingness to continue expanding his/her skills by pursuing training and cross training in all areas of the Sheet Metal shop as availability of equipment allows.
- Request to take on more challenging fabrication operations.
- Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to assist, train or act as a technical resource for other fabricators.
- Responsible for complying with all safety policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Technical degree in a manufacturing field and three years of relevant sheet metal experience, or High school diploma / GED and five years of experience preferred.
