We are seeking a forward thinking, curious, and innovative Cardiovascular Scientist or Senior Scientist to join our pioneering team at the forefront of condensate-focused drug discovery. In this role, you will bring a deep scientific expertise in cardiovascular biology, as well as cell and molecular biology, to drive breakthrough advancements from the bench. Your experience in optimizing and validating assays for cardiovascular drug discovery will be critical in shaping our cutting-edge research efforts. In this role you will...

  • Provide expertise in cardiovascular biology to design, develop, and execute pharmacological assays that support our innovative drug discovery programs.
  • Independently design, optimize, and validate cell-based assays to drive meaningful progress in cardiovascular research.
  • Lead one or more scientific subject areas within the team, serving as a key contributor and thought leader.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to ensure assays and experiments are biologically relevant, aligned with program goals, and executed effectively.
  • Mentor, inspire, and motivate team members at all levels, fostering a culture of learning and scientific excellence.
  • Enhance scientific visibility by contributing to project deliverables, presenting internally at departmental or functional meetings, and externally through conference posters, oral presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Contribute to additional initiatives and projects as they emerge in our dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring agility and impact.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need...

  • A Ph.D. in cardiovascular biology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • A robust background in cardiovascular physiology and its applications.
  • At least 2+ years of relevant postdoctoral experience, with a proven track record of scientific achievement.
  • A strong publication record demonstrating high-impact contributions to the field.
  • Expertise in independently designing and implementing cell-based assays for drug discovery.
  • Hands-on experience with pharmacological assays for cardiomyocytes, such as calcium flux, contractility, and/or electrophysiology techniques.
  • Proficiency in working with 2D and 3D cardiac model systems.
  • Proficiency in diverse molecular biology techniques, including RT-PCR, CRISPR, siRNA, viral vectors, and transcription analysis.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple objectives, deliver on timelines, and work independently with strong follow-through.
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced, and dynamic environment while remaining solution-oriented and organized.
  • Fluent communication skills in English, enabling seamless collaboration within our vibrant and multicultural team.

Additional skills and experience that would be valuable in this role...

  • At least 2+ years of relevant industry experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and/or life sciences.
  • Proven expertise in assay analysis, including determining concentration-response data to evaluate compound potency, affinity, and dynamic response ranges of assays and biological models.
  • Experience developing in vivo pharmacological assays using animal models to support drug discovery efforts.
  • Proficiency in optimizing and validating robotic-based assays for high-throughput screening, particularly with high-content imaging technologies.
  • Strong background in in vitro assay development, execution, and high-content screening, including cellular imaging techniques.
