Based in the Clayton area, we seeking an energetic and results-driven Food Sales Logistics Manager to join our thriving team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our supply chain processes to maximize efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the entire supply chain process, from production to distribution, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of food products.
2. Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods and managing stock levels.
3. Coordinate with sales and production teams to forecast demand and ensure product availability.
4. Negotiate contracts and deals with suppliers, vendors, and transport companies to optimize costs.
5. Implement and enforce safety and hygiene regulations in line with industry standards and government regulations.
6. Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
7. Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to supply chain processes.
8. Evaluate and report on KPIs to measure the effectiveness of supply chain processes.
9. Stay updated with latest supply chain trends and implement new or improved supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
10. Train and mentor staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in prospecting and negotiating with suppliers and transport companies.
4. Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Outstanding leadership and organizational abilities.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Proficient in relevant logistics software.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and oversee large, diverse teams.
11. Strong strategic planning and business development skills.
12. Familiarity with safety and hygiene regulations in the food manufacturing industry.
