Job Description

My client is a full-service mortgage lender looking to add a Loan Officer to their team. This person will be responsible for guiding clients through the process of applying for, qualifying for, and securing a mortgage loan, assessing the financial needs of individuals or businesses, recommending loan products, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate leads and build relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources.
• Collect necessary documentation (income, credit history, assets, etc.) from applicants.
• Maintain communication with clients throughout the loan process, ensuring they understand the steps involved
• Work closely with the processing and underwriting teams to ensure smooth progression of the loan
• Coordinate with title companies, real estate agents, and other involved parties to facilitate timely loan closing

Qualifications:

• Education: A high school diploma is required, though a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is often preferred.
• Licensing: Must hold a valid Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license, in accordance with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
• Experience: Previous experience as a loan officer or in a similar role within the mortgage industry is highly preferred.
