Job Description

Qualified candidates will have experience in teaching language learners, be culturally aware, and have a genuine passion for helping students improve their language skills in a dynamic and student-centered environment. A bachelor’s degree or higher is required, as well as classroom teaching experience. Candidates must be fluent in both English and Japanese. Candidates must be eligible to teach in the United States without sponsorship.

• Act as an advisor for 8-10 students daily - provide academic support, social emotional development, & facilitate DEIB discussions
• Attend daily chapel with their advisory
• Understand that they are more than just a classroom teacher & approach situations with a “student-first” mindset
• Prioritize student relationships & foster a safe and predictable environment
• Attend weekly meetings to facilitate growth & learning: full faculty, divisional, team-level, departmental and others as needed.
• Utilize professional development opportunities to continue growth in their craft
• Strive to connect & collaborate with other disciplines
• Are team players & open to serve the community in other ways that arise throughout a school year
