Our brands span multiple categories which include fashion watches & jewelry, tech wearables, footwear, handbags & small leather goods, cold weather and fashion accessories, beauty & personal care.

Overview: We are seeking a talented and creative Freelance Handbag Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing handbags for the moderate, missy, and junior price points. This role involves creating innovative and stylish handbag designs that resonate with our target market while meeting quality and cost requirements. Experience with 3D design software, such as Blender or Clo, is required.

Location: Full time onsite at our NYC Headquarters

Dates: Start ASAP. This is an ongoing freelance role

Salary: $30-$40/hour

Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:
  • Create original and trend-driven handbag designs for moderate, missy, and junior price points, using 3D Design software.
  • Develop detailed sketches, technical drawings, and specifications for each design.
  • Select appropriate materials, hardware, and embellishments to enhance design aesthetics and functionality.
  • Ensure designs are aligned with brand identity and market trends.

• Trend Analysis and Research:
  • Stay updated on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitive products.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the moderate, missy, and junior markets.
  • Incorporate trend insights into handbag designs to maintain relevance and appeal.

Requirements:

• Experience as a handbag designer, preferably within the moderate, missy, and junior price points.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of handbag designs and successful product launches.
• Proficiency in 3D Design software, such as Blender, Clo, Rhino, or Adobe Substance.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
• Understanding of handbag construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and an eye for fashion trends.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
