Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and organized Casting Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting the casting director and ensuring the smooth operation of our casting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for talent, and a passion for the entertainment industry.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling and Coordination:

• Assist the casting director with scheduling auditions, callbacks, and meetings.
• Communicate with talent agents and actors to coordinate audition times and provide necessary information.

Organization and Maintenance:

• Help organize and maintain audition materials and paperwork.
• Ensure all casting documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.

Audition Support:

• Participate in casting sessions, take notes, and provide support to actors during auditions.
• Ensure a welcoming and professional environment for all auditioning talent.

Research and Talent Identification:

• Conduct research to identify potential talent for various projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging talent.

Casting Breakdown and Calls:

• Assist with the creation of casting breakdowns.
• Post casting calls on appropriate platforms and distribute them to talent agents.

Administrative Support:

• Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage calendars.
• Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient casting operations.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth and effective casting processes.
• Make recommendations to the casting director based on industry knowledge and research.

Additional Tasks:

• Handle any other tasks as assigned by the casting director to support the casting process.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with casting software
• Knowledge of the entertainment industry and a passion for film, television, and theater
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Previous experience in casting or a related field is a plus
