Job Summary
We are seeking a Baker/ Oven to join the team at our busy bakery! In this role, you will prepare and bake a variety of breads. You will be responsible for the overnight shift. The ideal candidate has previous bakery experience and a passion for creating delicious breads The duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to hot temperatures while working around bakery equipment. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Open the bakery and prepare for the day ahead
• Clean and sanitize equipment and baking areas
• Bake a variety of breads,
• Knows bakery equipment and procedures to ensure a quality product.
• Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, lifting, bending, reaching, and exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
• Responsible for moving or lifting an average of 10-60 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 80 pounds occasionally
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role is preferred
• Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
• Knowledge of food safety practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced bakery environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Team player
• Available for late evening shifts.
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Employee must be at least 18 years old.
• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to hot temperatures while working around kitchen equipment.
